SSL Certificates

What is an SSL Certificate? It is a security certificate that lets searchers know a site is safe to click on. You can tell at the beginning of a URL address if a site is safe. If it is you will see https:// before a website domain in the address bar. If it is not considered safe it will not have the ‘s’ and will look like http:// It is important to ensure your website is secure, Google rank sites who have SSL certificates (https://) enabled on their site higher than those that don’t. Our Professional and Enterprise maintenance packages include an SSL certificate to ensure your site content is encrypted (this is also now part of GDPR compliance) when viewed by visitors and can be added as an extra to our Basic and Standard packages.

Website Support

Our monthly website support hours provide time each month for us to help make necessary updates to your website. Whether it is to add a blog post, changing a bit wording on existing web pages, replacing an image or fixing a user problem, let us know any issues you’re having and we will fix them.

If you need more time than that included in your plan we’ll quote for it at our discounted hourly rate of £30 or £150 per day for larger changes. Please ask if unsure.

This does not include the design and upload of complete new web or landing pages.

24/7 site monitoring

Websites can and do go wrong at anytime day or night. There is no way of knowing when something might go wrong, or an issue can cause downtime. Our Standard, Professional and Enterprise maintenance customers have their sites covered with our 24/7 monitoring and alert system.

Our monitoring system alerts us to issues happening, meaning we can react and help to fix problems as soon as possible, without you needing to contact us.

Email Support

Email support is the best way to make sure we get back to you and get your request sorted quickly. You will be given a Customer support only dedicated mail address which is for our customers to raise issues and request help, we aim to get back to any request within 12 to 24 hours Monday to Friday.

Phone Support

Call our office number anytime during office hours, and we will be happy to discuss any issues or requirements you may have.

 

Mobile Support

Our Professional and Enterprise Customers will have the added support of Mobile. You will be given a mobile number to contact an on duty support member or your own Account Manager by text or call out of normal office hours and Bank holidays. Voicemail will be activated at certain times, but will be responded to within 4 hours.

Website Hosting

We host sites on UK based servers which are monitored 24/7. We limit the number of sites hosted on each server ensuring maximum performance and using the latest server technology ensures fast performing sites.

Hosting is optional, if you prefer to keep your site hosted with your existing provider that is fine, but if you’d like to save some costs its there if you’d like to use it.

Backups

Problems happen, its impossible to stop hackers, hardware failures or simple human error, to protect against this its essential to have regular backups of your website. All our maintenance packages include monthly, weekly or daily backups stored on the Amazon S3 network.

If something should go wrong we can restore your site at no cost to you.

CMS & Plugin Updates

Our maintenance packages are designed for websites that use Content Management Systems such as Joomla, WordPress, Magento, Opencart, Prestashop and many others.

These systems require frequent updates to ensure they receive the latest security and feature updates. All of our packages include this by default, its essential in helping to secure a website.

Site Audit

For Customers on the Professional and Enterprise packages, each month we run an audit of your site which includes many technical factors such as broken links, missing meta titles, image alt texts and many other factors which can help with search engine ranking.Subject to time remaining on your monthly support hours we’ll work to help fix as many of these as we can.

Please note, some issues may be too technical without a deeper rebuild of the site and are subject to how many issues arise, fixes may take several months but can be looked at as an additional fixed priced project

Site Performance Report

We use the popular GT Metrix site performance tool to check for performance issues such as page loading time.

Subject to time remaining each month on your support hours we’ll work to fix issues that may arise. Please note, each website is vastly different, certain functionality may mean we cannot improve performance without significant changes but the report is an excellent guide to how well your site performs for visitors and search engines.

Content Delivery Networks

What is a Content Delivery Network (CDN)?

It is a group of servers hosting your most frequently requested content across servers globally. If a visitor from the US visits your site, this content will be delivered from a server in the US, rather than the UK, meaning they receive the content faster and more efficiently.

A CDN can help improve performance, particularly for larger websites and is included with our Enterprise website maintenance package.
